First Russian Festival - West Hollywood, 2001

We scouted for 3 months to find the best Russian Speaking Artists in California, and the result was stunning - 6 hour concert with world-class performers, from tenors and children's choires to ballroon dancers and Armenian national dance ensembles.

First Project - Chekhov's Shorts August, 2001

As part of the First West Hollywood Russian Festival, ART Players (first incarnation of the ensemble's name) presented "Chekhov in Shorts" - an Evening of Russian Vaudeville, "The Bear" and "The Proposal", directed by Dmitry Boudrine, adapted by Elmar Mamedov, and produced by Olga Petrakova and Tatiana Chekhova. We opened to an over-capacity audience of 300+ at West Hollywood's Park on San Vicente Street.
